Teodoro (Teo) Forcht Dagi is a neurosurgeon who serves as distinguished scholar and professor at Queen’s University Belfast and the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute. He also serves as international surgical advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, director of Life Sciences at Anglo Scientific at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, director of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and editor of Neurosurgery, the Journal of Clinical Ethics, and Humanities. His research and teaching interests have focused on translational medicine, patient safety, digital health, head trauma and intracranial pressure measurement systems.
As part of his work in translational medicine, he has managed several life sciences venture funds over the past two decades and worked extensively with early-stage companies, regulatory agencies, universities, and government promoting training and investment in biomedical innovation. In that regard, he has had broad experience as a chair and board member of privately held and publicly traded companies.
Teo consults with the Mayo Clinic Medical School and heads the life sciences practice of Rosc Global, LLC, a consulting group that grew out of the Monitor Group. He publishes in neurosurgery, medical ethics, history of medicine, and entrepreneurship. His distinctions include ad hominem fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, the Dixon Medal, and a personal U.S. Humanitarian Service Medal. He lives in Newton, Massachusetts.
