Our Approach:
A Regenerative Approach to CNS Injury
ExoPTEN is NurExone’s lead nanodrug candidate for multiple high-impact Central Nervous System injuries and the first therapy being developed using our ExoTherapy platform.
Born from research at Israel’s Technion and Tel Aviv University, ExoPTEN uses exosomes loaded with a proprietary siRNA sequence designed to target PTEN, a key regulator of nerve regeneration. In preclinical studies, ExoPTEN has demonstrated nerve regeneration, neuroprotection and functional improvement following a short, minimally invasive treatment cycle.
ExoPTEN reflects NurExone’s core approach: using the body’s natural delivery system to advance targeted, minimally invasive regenerative medicine for central nervous system injury.
Some injuries heal naturally.
Others need a new approach.
ExoPTEN is being developed to address the limited regenerative capacity of the central nervous system.

Reversible Damage
Peripheral Tissues and Nerves
Peripheral tissues often activate a fast, natural repair response after minor injury. This is why everyday damage, like a scraped knee, will usually heal quickly with little or no treatment.

Irreversible Damage
Central Nervous System
Limited natural regeneration. Treatment is largely supportive and focused on symptom management.
