Today is the OurCrowd Global Investor Summit, and it is an incredible event. The conference is sold out, with over 10,000 attendees in the heart of Jerusalem, Israel. #investors , #institutionalinvestors , #familyoffices #vc, from all over the world have come to meet Israeli entrepreneurs and companies of the #israelitech eco-system.
As a #Canadian financier, I like to speak with Israeli entrepreneurs and companies about the benefits of publicly listing in Canada. The Canadian capital markets are an excellent way to access North American public capital. Canada has one of the best capital markets in the world, respected globally.
This morning, I had the pleasure of spending time with Lior Shaltiel, PhD, CEO of NurExone Biologic, (TSXV:NRX), together with Jason Saltzman, head of the Israel Practice at Gowling WLG. I think Lior and his team at NurExone are a great example of how Israeli companies can utilize the Canadian markets to their benefit. NurExone is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange on the Venture Exchange. (For more information please visit www.nurexone.com)
There are some good examples of Israeli companies such as REAL BROKER (TSX:REAX NSDQ:REAX) that initially listed on the TSX and have since graduated to Nasdaq.
If an Israeli company is considering a public listing, I would suggest they consider the TMX Group exchanges such as The Toronto Stock Exchange or the Toronto Stock Venture Exchange. They are a leading organization within the Canadian business community managed by some of the best professionals in the business. I am always pleased to facilitate introductions.
